Authentic Crime Thrillers Written by a 30-year Federal Agent
about the author
Stan Comforti is a thirty-year law enforcement veteran. He was a federal air marshal and then a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
As a field agent, he worked numerous investigations against drug dealers, outlaw motorcycle and street gang members, and felons who possessed, stole, traded, or trafficked firearms, including illegal sawed-off shotguns and fully automatic weapons.
Many of his field assignments involved working undercover. Subsequently, as an office supervisor in Massachusetts and Connecticut, he directed many high-profile investigations, including a murder-for-hire case where a father paid an undercover agent to kill his daughter by ordering an explosive device placed under the car she drove in. ATF arrested the father before any harm came to his daughter.
Another investigation involved the unlawful sale and possession of firearms, including a machine gun that involved police officials, one of whom was also engaged in a major police exam-scam operation.
Also, for seven years, Mr. Comforti was a leader of Boston ATF’s Special Response Team. He led many early morning arrest and search warrant raids against drug dealers and gang members who illegally possessed and used firearms in their illegal operations.
